研究思维本体找到本质
To study the primordial consciousness and find the essence.
到这个地方也不是这个世界的本质,物质的角度已经没法再找了,于是从这个地方转回来,转向从思维的方面进行研究,从思维的角度去研究这个世界的本质,研究这个世界的源头,研究这个宇宙从哪里来,研究人类从哪里来。
When we reach this point, we realize that it is not the essence of the world, and there is no way to seek further from the perspective of matter. Therefore, we turn back and shift to studying from the aspect of Mind, exploring the essence of the world, the origin of the world, where the universe comes from, and where human beings come from from the perspective of Mind.
这种研究方法,东方文化取名叫心地法门。你一听说心地法门这个词可能会想到宗教,什么是宗教?你怎么去定义宗教和科学?心地法门无非是古人的命名,一个名词而已,用我们现在的话说,就是我们科研的思路,科研的方法,是从思维这个角度研究世界的,我们科研的方案是从这个角度研究的。无非是一种表述方式,何必在意这个名词呢?所以,对于我们来说需要了解,心地法门是东方文化研究这个世界本质的科研方案,科研的思路,它是从这个角度研究的。
当从这个角度研究的时候,于是我们就要认识我们的思维,认识我们当前的思维。我们当前思维由什么构成?由思维的本体和思维的内容构成。思维的内容是具有变迁性的,生灭性的,因此通过它去研究,我们将无法证入这个世界的本质。
When studying from this perspective, we need to understand our Mind.Understand our current Mind. What is our current Mind composed of? It is composed of the primordial consciousness and the content of thinking.The content of thinking is characterized by variability and impermanence (or: the quality of arising and passing away.Therefore, through its research, we will not be able to penetrate into the essence of the world.
所以,东方文化在思维方面研究的时候,又抛弃了在思维内容方面研究。思维内容就是我们说的观察对象,我们在想的内容。
Therefore, when traditional oriental culture conducts research on Mind,It also abandons the research on the content of thinking.The content of thinking is what we call the object of observation, the content we are thinking about.
观察对象相对我们自己来说是外,所以对思维内容方面研究,我们起了名字叫外道。于是古人从思维内容方面研究转向思维本体方面的研究。古人就是这样不断地探索。
所以,释迦牟尼在他自己的实证中,他先证入四禅八定。四禅八定是研究思维内容方面的,在思维内容方面的研究发现,此路不通,就转向思维本体方面。于是,从这个角度研究,证入了这个世界的本质,到达这样的成果。在这个角度研究,我们就来到了这个目的地,找到了这个世界的源头,世界的本质,解决了人类所有的疑惑,这是东方文化的研究。
Therefore, in his own meditative positivism, Sakyamuni first attained the Four Dhyanas and Eight Samapattis.The Four Dhyanas and Eight Samapattis focus on the study of the content of thinking. Through researching the content of thinking, it was discovered that this approach leads to a dead end, thus the focus shifted to the primordial consciousness.Thus, through research from this perspective, one can penetrate into the essence of the world and achieve such results.Through research from this perspective, we arrive at this destination, find the origin of the world and the essence of the world, and solve all human doubts. This is the research of traditional oriental culture.
很显然,我们可以看到,东方文化的研究找到了这个世界本质,找到本质就可以解决现象的问题,现象方面的所有问题都可以解决,因为一切现象由本质生成,找到本质就可以即一切相,就可以解决这些问题。
It is obvious that we can see that the research of traditional oriental culture has found the essence of the world.Finding the essence can solve the problems of phenomena, and all problems in the aspect of phenomena can be solved, because all phenomena are generated by the essence. Finding the essence allows one to embrace all appearances and thus solve these problems.
现在回过头来,当我们对两种文化进行对比时,你会发现,这两种文化有非常明显的不同之处。西方文化默认我们当前状态是人类的唯一的状态,默认人类是高等动物,默认人类很聪明,所以我们只可以从这个状态去研究。而东方文化直接否定了这一点。东方文化认为,我们人类有很多很多状态,我们必须到那个最高级状态才可以了知全部。当前这个状态是低级状态,这状态不能用来研究本质,必须先把这个状态抛弃,这当然就是很科学的。
Now, when we look back and compare the two cultures, you will find that there are very obvious differences between them.Western culture assumes that our current state is the only state of humanity.It defaults that humans are higher animals and assumes that humans are very intelligent, so we can only conduct research from this state.While traditional oriental culture directly negates this. traditional oriental culture holds that human beings have many, many states. We must reach that advanced mind state in order to know everything. The current state is a low-level state.This state cannot be used to study the essence. It is necessary to abandon this state first, which is of course very scientific.
就相当于做科学研究前必须保证研究者是正常人,比如:我们现在去研究彩色,我们必须保证我们自己不是色盲才行,如果我们自己是色盲,我们怎么去研究彩色?如果我们是医生,我们去研究一个精神病的课题,我们必须保证我们自己不是精神病,如果研究者本身是精神病,还怎么能研究精神病?那就没办法研究这个课题了。
This is equivalent to the necessity of ensuring that researchers are normal before conducting scientific research. For example, if we are to study colors, we must first ensure that we are not color-blind. How can we study colors if we ourselves are color-blind? If we are doctors researching a topic on mental illness, we must ensure that we are not mentally ill ourselves. How can researchers study mental illness if they themselves suffer from it? They would be unable to conduct research on such a topic.
所以,东方文化从一开始就对我们自身,对科学家自己有一个非常严格的要求,就是我们必须保证我们自己是正常的,我们要到其他的思维状态,到更高级的思维状态,到思维根本状态,在这种状态再去研究,这样才可以研究,这是东方文化的一个特点。
Therefore, traditional oriental culture has placed very strict requirements on ourselves, that is, on scientists themselves, from the very beginning: we must ensure that we are normal.We need to reach other states of mind.To a more advanced state of mind.To the fundamental state of mind.Only when conducting research in this state can it be done properly, which is a characteristic of Oriental culture.
它对观察对象的研究也是这样的。西方文化从树上摘下一片树叶,试图从这个标本找到这个世界的本质。东方文化直接就否定了这种方法,直接告诉我们,无色声香味触法,这些都是梦幻泡影,如露亦如电,不能这样去研究。
Its approach to the study of observational objects is also similar. Western culture plucks a leaf from a tree and attempts to find the essence of the world from this specimen.traditional oriental culture directly negates this approach, stating frankly that there are no forms, sounds, smells, tastes, textures, or dharmas. All these are like dreams, bubbles, dew, or lightning—transitory and illusory—thus research cannot be conducted in this way.
这是两个完全不同的地方,西方文化拿起一片树叶,这就是抽样调查,样本法,从这个世界找一个样本,用这个样本去研究。东方文化直接告诉你样本法是不行的,不能用样本法去研究,那要用什么研究?以所有的观察对象作为观察对象,从思维的角度研究。由于一切物质都具有思维属性,所以从思维角度研究的时候,就直接否定了样本法,而是以整体作为研究。
These are two completely different approaches. Then, what method should be used for research?Take all objects of observation as the objects of observation, and study them from the perspective of mind.Since all matter possesses the attribute of Mind.Therefore, when studying from the perspective of mind, the sampling method is directly negated, and instead, the whole is taken as the object of study.
在这种情况下,它的成果当然无懈可击,因为它出发的地方就无懈可击,非常严谨。然后,研究过程中采用什么方法?从思维本体方面研究,它用的是一种破坏的方法,后面我们再讲破坏法。
In this case, its results are of course unassailable, because the starting point is unassailable and extremely rigorous.
