**The Scientific and Great Traditional Oriental Culture (9)**

**The Essence of Repeated Verification Through the Deconstructive Method**

Western culture picks up a single leaf (to study its essence)—this is sampling. It selects a specimen from the world and uses it for research.

Eastern culture, however, directly states: Sampling is inadequate; the essence cannot be studied through specimens. How should it be studied? By observing *all* phenomena as the subject of study. Since all matter possesses the attribute of consciousness, research conducted from the perspective of consciousness inherently rejects the sampling method and instead adopts a holistic approach.

Naturally, the results of such research are irrefutable—because its foundation is irrefutable and rigorously precise.

What methodology does the Eastern traditional oriental culture employ in this research? In studying the primordial consciousness, it employs a **deconstructive method**. What does this mean? Let’s use an analogy.

In the Eastern traditional oriental culture, this is likened to searching for gold. There are two methods:

1. **The Corresponding Method**: We arrive at a gold vein, see a glittering fragment on the cave wall, and chisel it out, believing it to be gold. This is like studying a leaf by analyzing its cells, molecules, atoms, or neutrons—it relies on correspondence. But this method assumes you already know what gold looks like. If you’ve never seen gold, how can you be sure what you’ve chiseled out is genuine? Thus, this approach carries inherent uncertainty.

2. **The Deconstructive Method**: Here, we wash away impurities until only the indestructible residue remains—that is gold. Why is this reliable? Because it adheres strictly to gold’s defining properties (e.g., density). By following this definition, we arrive at the target with precision.

The traditional oriental culture applies this deconstructive approach: it dismantles layer after layer until reaching a state that cannot be deconstructed—that which remains is the essence of reality. No method can destroy it; this indestructible state is the fundamental nature of the world. From a methodological standpoint, Eastern research is equally rigorous.

Because this approach encounters no unresolved issues, no hidden premises, and no latent flaws, what is its final conclusion? **Direct Perception of all phenomena This is the criterion for verifying the essence of the world, because all phenomena arise from this essence. Only by discovering the essence can we immediately recognize all phenomena.

The very reason you ponder questions like *"What lies beyond the universe?"* or *"What exists outside the solar system?"* is because you haven’t yet found the essence. Once you do, such questions cease—because all phenomena emerge from this essence, and you can immediately perceive them all.

When evaluating a scientific achievement, an expert committee is convened. Suppose you are a member of such a committee, presented with two research findings: one from Eastern culture’s study of essence, the other from Western culture’s. How would you assess them?

You certainly wouldn’t judge based on feeling. Instead, you’d apply the criteria we just discussed:

- Does it rely on unexamined assumptions?

- What methodology does it employ?

- What is its ultimate conclusion?

Using these standards, you’d inevitably conclude that Eastern culture’s research into essence far surpasses that of Western culture. Precisely because it reaches such profound depths, Eastern oriental culture is advanced, scientific, and great—not by self-proclamation, but by universal human acknowledgment.

This acknowledgment has been affirmed over millennia by the brightest scientific minds. Throughout history, countless brilliant individuals—some even surpassing Einstein—have independently validated these findings through shared research. Its advanced nature is precisely why it earns widespread recognition and resolves fundamental human issues—life, health, and beyond. This is why, for thousands of years, Eastern traditional oriental culture has commanded the deep respect of history’s greatest minds.

Moreover, it has even earned the admiration of its adversaries. In China’s historical development, its military was not always dominant—it suffered countless invasions, some devastatingly thorough, where entire territories were seized and populations slaughtered. Yet, it was never destroyed. On the contrary, former enemies assimilated, becoming part of the Chinese nation.

Why? Because its culture is advanced. Even adversaries need culture—they also must solve problems of health and life, questions they cannot evade. To address these, they must study the Eastern traditional oriental culture.

In studying it, they come to take pride in this culture, willingly integrating into the Chinese nation. Has anyone forced them to adopt this culture? No—it is voluntary, driven by necessity, and ultimately pride.

We all take pride in the same culture, much like we take pride in being from Earth. If we traveled to another planet, we’d introduce ourselves as Earthlings. Similarly, no matter where we interact—across regions, skin colors, or ethnicities—we share pride in this culture, communicate through it, and solve problems with it. We identify as part of the Chinese nation.

The power of culture is immense—it resolves our personal struggles and unites an entire civilization. Now, imagine this culture expanding further: if Westerners embraced it, if the whole world adopted it, if all humanity took pride in mastering it, solving previously insurmountable issues of health and mortality... Wherever we go—France, Germany, every corner of the globe—we’d discuss, validate, and live by this culture. It would become our shared bond, fostering universal recognition.

Then, humanity would usher in a bright future—a true **community of shared destiny**. This is the fundamental significance of studying and promoting the Eastern traditional oriental culture.
