睡眠的本质是我们在感知身体的非作用状态、静止状态。我们大家所处的这个物质世界,它的宏观物质状态是和大家“共性思维状态”相应的。这个世界上的任何物质都是和大家的共性思维状态相应的,我们的身体和其它的物质体一样,也同样是和大家的共性思维状态相应;既然是和大家的共性思维状态相应,就不可能以个人意志为转移,而是具有一定的客观属性,有自己的客观特征、客观规律,这就要求我们必须尊重这些客观属性,才能维持正常的运作状态。由于睡眠的本质是“我们在感知身体的非作用状态、静止状态”,因此我们可以调动自己的主观能动性,不再继续感知身体的非作用状态、静止状态,而是处于另外的状态,这样身体的“睡眠”状态就和我们没有任何关系了。
